Our Type 01s are available in a brand new colour!
If you're looking for something common,boring, or safe, Nevada Sand is not likely to be your jam.
Unique, distinctive, and made for who'd like to add something special to their step, Nevada Sand is a stunning shade with a colour that's elusive, hard to pin down.
The best we can do is describe this transfixing colour in as many different lights as we personally see it.
Overall, it's a beige that seems to faintly shimmer gold in full sunlight, like the breathtaking sand and rocks of the Mojave Desert of Nevada.

It takes a more earthy light-brown tone in lower light. (Type 01 Nevada Sand on left, Type 01 Acorn Sand on right:)
In cool light, the shade almost appears to glisten with the faintest tinge of green. (Type 01 Nevada Sand on left, Playtime on right:)

Type 01 Nevada Sand VS Type 01 Sahara Sand
While we wouldn't fault you for saying the colour is similar to our classic Sahara Sand, upon closer inspection, the two are nowhere near the same.
You can see the colour difference between the Nevada Sand & Sahara Sand best in full sunlight, which is apparent in this particular shot (Nevada Sand on the left, Sahara Sand on the right):
In fact, to us, they're more similar to our limited edition deadstock Acorn Sand Type 01s.

Again, there are obvious differences, but there are similarities as well.

All Hutton footwear is handmade in Italy, in a hundred year old family-owned factory where they've made crepe-sole boots and shoes since the 1960s.
Can you tell me more about Hutton's signature blonde crepe soles?
Many boots feature crepe soles, but not all crepe is created equal.
In this day and age, most shoe companies will choose the cheapest crepe to use in the production of their shoes and boots.
The option is chosen to check a box, so the consumer sees "crepe" and assumes quality.
But when we choose our materials, we choose to skip past the lower tiers.
At Hutton, we refuse to settle for offering even second best - our blond crepe soles are, quite literally, the best of the best, and the only option we see fit to use.
What about the leathers and other materials used in your footwear?
Each and every Hutton boot and shoe - no matter the colouration - is made of premium quality, locally sourced, Italian leather.
The leather is dyed and tanned by hand - using only natural, vegetable-tanned - a process that happens in Italy as well.
As a result, all of our materials are ethically and responsibly sourced. They are also environmentally friendly, as they are hand-made in Italy using locally sourced materials.
We use expensive, vegetable tanned leather that doesn't require heavy metals, such as chrome, in the process.
All the solvents used to make the boots are water-based, so they do not poison the factory workers.
Even the stitching on every pair is made from cotton sourced from the same region as our factory.

When it comes to the care and maintenance of our footwear, there are no requirements.
Brand new, out-of-box, our boots are ready-to-wear and created to be worn and used for years to come.
